Jasmine Pelaez

Growing up in a big family, I learned to find my voice at a young age. Now, I'm on a path to help universities, startups and nonprofit organizations find their own voice and craft a brand that fits their style and needs.

Most recently, I was the Communications Specialist at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. My day-to-day schedule was never quite the same but included drafting press releases, writing web content and creating videos. I oversaw the university's social media channels on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram.

I've honed my skills in writing, public relations, social media engagement and videography after more than four years of experience in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

I attended the University of Maryland and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism in 2017. Afterwards, I became a multimedia reporter for WDVM News. It was a thrilling field to be a part of for three years, and I still miss the quick turnarounds!
